Rocky Gorge Campground

Rocky Gorge Campground is located in Kootenai National Forest. This unit is located in a natural forest setting adjacent to 90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa, and along State Highway 37. This site features a camping/parking area that is surrounded by forest lands. Grassy islands divide the internal access roads and a paved road leads to the boat ramp. Visitors find this location appropriate for weekend getaways and fisher persons enjoy the prime kokanee salmon fishery offered by the lake. This campground does not have designated campsites but can accommodate up to 100 units. Fishing, swimming and boating may be enjoyed nearby. A boat launch is available. There are also scenic trails for hiking. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 32 feet. A fee is required for the use of this campground. Your stay may not exceed 14 days.
