On October 8, from 4:00-5:30 PM, the MT Museum of Art and Culture will celebrate the unveiling of its newest outdoor sculpture, “Signal,” with a light reception. The piece, originally designed by famed UM Professor Rudy Audio in 1966, was built out of poured concrete and ceramic. After many years eroding in the elements on the campus, it had to be removed. However, it was recently re-created in core ten steel by UM grad Nick Chaussee with guidance and support from the Autio family and Autio’s assistant Hugh Warford. The new work to be permanently installed on the museum’s east lawn, is a metal recreation as Autio originally intended.

Join Lake Missoula Old Time for our monthly slow jam! Slow Jams take place at the Longstaff House (601 Longstaff St) on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. New to old time music? This leisurely jam is a perfect way to dive into some new tunes and practice learning old time music by ear at a more forgiving pace than a traditional jam setting. This is a welcoming learning environment that is suitable for those with basic proficiency on an old time instrument (think fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar). The jam will be led by experienced old time musicians.

Opening day is September 20, till October 31, weather permitting. Hours are 10 A.M to 5 p.m Monday through Sunday. Admission is 15 dollars per person. We are SO excited to kick off the 2025 Pumpkin Season! Our Pumpkin Patch and Open Farm will open at 12pm on Wednesday, Oct. 1st! Check out our hours below! The first 3 weekends of October will be our Festivals! We will close the Open Farm on Oct. 20th but the Farm Store, Farm Yard, and Harvest Market Barn will remain open until Thursday, Oct. 30th. The Harvest Market Barn will be closed on Halloween…but of course our Farm Store remains open year round! See you at the Pumpkin Patch!!! Please note: our FARM STORE will be open as normal EVERYDAY from dawn to dusk to purchase produce, meat, eggs ,etc! Sorry, NO dogs allowed! Officially trained service animals are allowed per ADA. Non-service pets are not allowed on our working farm with livestock and our trained farm dogs. Thank you for respecting our farm and our commitment to being good stewards of our livestock. These weekends will have food trucks, fresh popcorn, fresh baked donuts, live entertainment, face painting and a more festival type atmosphere. The whole farm will be open to explore and see the animals! Saturdays: 12-6pm Sundays: 12-5pm We are thrilled to welcome Deli Arepa, Bamboo Bar,, and Stuffed 406 the first 3 weekends of October! These are local food/drink trucks! Plus, we will have Big Sky Hollers and Texas Tom playing on the weekends! The Open Farm will close after Oct. 19th so we can prep our fields for winter and the animals can get back to their pastures. But the Farm Store, Harvest Market Barn and the Farm Yard will remain open until Oct. 30th! We accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal or credit/debit cards during the Pumpkin Festival!

Western Swing Wednesdays have taken over at The Jump! An idea that was formulated from the community of next generational dancers that love country music and love to make memories with great people, join the fun as lessons are organized by Western Roots Country Dancing. There will be a great dance floor every week, your favorite instructors, and all the country music you love from Bozeman's Choice 2023 DJ, DJ Habes. See ya at THE JUMP every Wednesday! Each week will feature different drink specials. For those looking for more sporty trivia questions, Monday nights are dedicated to sports trivia which is also hosted at 7:30pm. The Big Sky lineup features 24 comedians, handpicked from a large pool of applicants. With 10+ shows in venues across the city, the festival is always packed with creative new shows to keep things fresh and fun. Schedule highlights have included “Comics Under the Influence,” “Ladies of Laughter,” and "The Family Friendly Show." Big Sky Comedy Festival comedians don't come just to perform - they're here to compete in the festival’s signature event, "The Competition,” which splits the comedians into teams for an exciting head-to-head battle. During the festival, catch Team Seely (led by local comedian Lukas Seely) face off against Team Auggie (led by comedian and Billings native Auggie Smith), in official competition shows at The Red Door and High Horse. The competition is scored by a panel of industry judges, which has featured representatives from CBS, NBC, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines, and many more - ensuring the festival's best comics move on to the next round. The top 8 comedians advance to the grand finale, held at the historic Alberta Bair Theater, where one will be crowned MVP. The 2025 Big Sky Comedy Festival MVP will receive their own comedy special, produced by Open Bar Comedy.
