The Missoula Farmers' Market was formed in 1972 as a local farm and garden market. We're open all growing season long, from the first Saturday in May to the end of October. In the spring you will find veggie starts and greens, summertime brings tomatoes, huckleberries, cherries, peaches, melons and corn, and fall's bounty includes squash & pumpkins, apples and garlic. Locally grown, raised, gathered and processed meat, eggs and mushrooms are available all season long.

The Rotary Club of Townsend's Fall Fest is one of Montana's premiere festivals. This 3 day event that is always the first weekend in October is a FREE event thanks to generous sponsors. This family friendly event officially starts at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025 and will run through 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Enjoy 3 days of free live music from local, Montana, and regional bands. Shop the varied selection of vendors at the event: food, drinks, fine art, jewelry, clothing, wood working, crafts and more. The Rotary Club sells famous local brats and other food and beverages. In addition to the great music, On Sunday the Rotary Club hosts the Show and Shine Car show at the Townsend Fall Fest which has been the largest car show in Montana in the past. It's been voted the best car show several years by the largest car clubs in the state and has had over 300 cars in recent years. Money made by Rotary at the Fall Fest funds community projects for the coming year. Join us for a weekend of great music, great vendors and an incredible car show under the autumn leaves!

Folk and reggae infused singer-songwriter Trevor Hall will bring his Monsoon Nights Tour to Montana this Fall 2025 — performing live at The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, October 3rd, and at The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, October 4th. The Monsoon Nights Tour is a special celebration of Hall’s decades-long relationship with India. For the first time ever, he’ll be joined on stage by Indian musicians, honoring the culture and teachings that have profoundly shaped his spiritual and artistic path. Known for blending folk, reggae, and Eastern influences with deeply introspective lyrics, Trevor Hall has built a loyal global following through songs like “Green Mountain State,” “The Lime Tree,” and “Moon / Sun.” His latest project, Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between, continues to explore new creative territory while staying rooted in a message of presence and personal growth.

Will Evans musically accesses a space without boundaries where all are welcome to commune openly and move freely. Through quotable folk-inspired lyrics, breezy grooves, and roots energy, it’s as if he’s giving you permission to be that pure self you can’t always be at work or even at home. The Rhode Island-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist also puts his words into action via his “Kind Folk” fan community, activating small acts of kindness, charity, and goodwill in tandem with performances nationwide. Buzzing out of the East Coast, he has consistently engaged and enraptured a fervent audience. By rotating between acoustic guitar, didgeridoo, handpan, percussive beatboxing, and more, he has developed a living and breathing signature sound of his own. With 2025’s “The Wild Unknown” Will explores the boundaries between contemporary Folk, Electronica, and Rock with notable collaborations such as Tristan Prettyman, Dirtwire and Moontricks. Between selling out shows across the U.S. and Europe, he has graced bills alongside Crosby & Nash, Grace Potter, Bruce Hornsby, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Trevor Hall, and Railroad Earth.

Off in the Woods is a 7 piece Montana band. We play all original music along the stylings of Soul, Funk, Reggae and open tuned acoustic songs. We have a full horn section, drums, bass, guitar, hammond organ and aux-percussion/synth. The five original members all grew up in Polson, MT on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation. We have been playing together since the 6th grade but have been touring as Off in the Woods for 13+ years. We play up and down the State of Montana with a few shows in Idaho and Washington. In our time together we have worked our way up from free gigs at dive bars to playing historic theaters and festivals. We have played with many National and International touring bands such as George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Clinton Fearon and the Boogie Brown Band, Don Carlos and the Congos, Rusted Root, The English Beats, John Browns body, The Polyrythmics, Pepper, The Wailers, and Pato Banton.

The current body of work reflects sentiments around death, and honors those who have gone before us. The pieces employ printmaking, drawing and mixed media processes. The show can be seen from October 1-31, 2025.

The Confluence Center (Western Montana's Home for Nonprofit Events) art program Torrents is thrilled to present a magical evening of art and community! This month we proudly present the solo exhibit Art Adoption Center by multi-media artist Mark Matthews. Matthews has been making and showing his unique and multi-media work, ranging from paintings to metalwork to woodworking and beyond, for decades now. Over the years, he has realized that artists who depend on wealthy art collectors to sustain them are rolling the dice. The system embraces a few artists, but most are left to survive as best they can. In hindsight,he wishes he had stuck to my guns and kept prices at a level that he felt was not only fair, but also affordable. If he had, maybe people from all walks of life would have decided to adopt his art rather than just admiring it as they walked past the display window or strolled through the gallery. In his latest exhibit Art Adoption Center, Mark will have a wide-variety of work on display, mostly new, some older favorites, with this in mind. All of his work will be on sale to the true lover of his art, and available no matter the price range. Mark thinks it is a greater mission to fill the world with art, not just for the few wealthy, but for everyone. Join us for the exhibit opening on First Friday, October 3rd, 4-8pm, which will include Live music by The Queens and Mr G, plus free snacks and drinks.
