As the holiday season approaches, the Glendive Chamber of Commerce is busy preparing several exciting community events to spread festive cheer and encourage support for local businesses. The 38th Annual Light Parade, one of the Chamber’s most beloved traditions, will take place on November 29th at 7 p.m. This year’s theme, A Country Christmas, promises to be a fun and festive display of lighted floats—a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The parade will begin at the high school, travel down Merrill Avenue, and end at the EPEC parking lot. Santa Claus, leading the parade in the Chamber’s float, will join the celebration at Our Park after the parade. Residents can also enjoy a performance by the Chamber Chorale at the park’s gazebo and admire a new light display organized by the Hood family. Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch will offer hot chocolate and host their Angel Tree program, allowing community members to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need. Coinciding with the parade is the launch of the Chamber’s Keep the Cheer Here campaign, which encourages residents to shop locally throughout the holiday season. This initiative supports Glendive’s small businesses and features the Keep the Cheer Here Christmas Guide, a booklet filled with ads from local shops. The guide will be distributed during the parade and is available to both Chamber members and non-members for advertising. Shoppers who participate in the campaign will also have a chance to win Chamber Bucks, redeemable at Glendive businesses. Adding to the holiday spirit, the Chamber is offering festive window clings for businesses to purchase, helping to create a unified holiday look across town while promoting the shop-local message. Dutch electronic music producer San Holo is bringing his Wholesome Riddim Chapter 2 Tour to Montana in 2026 — performing at The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, March 13th, and The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, March 14th! Born Sander van Dijck, San Holo has become one of electronic music’s most emotionally resonant voices. Blending atmospheric production, live guitar, and introspective songwriting, he’s built a global following through his unmistakable sound and his uplifting “stay vibrant” philosophy. San’s catalog reads like a personal journal, exploring the highs and lows of the human experience with songs like “Light,” “lift me from the ground” and “We Rise.” His music embodies what he calls existential dance music — heartfelt, expansive, and deeply connective. On stage, San Holo delivers an immersive performance that feels both massive and intimate. His shows combine live instrumentation, glowing visuals, and emotional release, creating a genuine sense of community among fans.

Brian Posehn is a super busy guy. He has probably been involved in something you may have seen and had no idea it was his genius at work. He has had a recurring role on The Big Bang Theory as geologist Bert Kibbler, has had appearances on Seinfeld, Friends, New Girl among others. He is a writer and does Stand-Up comedy. Rodeo has been a part of Montana’s culture since the first cowboys arrived over 150 years ago. Our events include bull riding, saddle bronc, ranch bronc, bareback, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and steer riding. We are Western Montana’s longest running series open rodeo. Special Olympics Montana provides life-changing opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. We offer sports training, competitions, health screenings, and leadership opportunities that promote inclusion for athletes both on and off the field. By taking the plunge, you are making a difference! The Polar Plunge® is a Law Enforcement Torch Run® signature event. It is primarily organized, promoted, and conducted by LETR Officers and volunteer teams throughout Montana.

The National Finals Ski-Joring races in Red Lodge occur the second weekend in March each year and are held on both Saturday and Sunday. The races are held at The Home Of Champions rodeo grounds located just west of town on Route 78. From Red Lodge, head west from the traffic roundabout at the fire station to get to the rodeo grounds. ​Watch the weather forecast and dress appropriately. If the weather is relatively warm, the grounds can get slushy or muddy. Food, beverage, and swag vendors will be on site. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. each day and the races start at 11:00 am. Tickets are sold at the entrance gate. There are no advance ticket sales. All tickets are general admission and there are no limits on the number of tickets sold. Feel free to bring a chair. Blankets may be desirable to wrap up in if the weather is cold, but don't plan on sitting on a blanket on the ground due to snow melt.
