Lake McDonald Ranger Station

The Lake McDonald Ranger Station is a great day use area. The Lake McDonald Ranger Station Horse Trail (0.3 mi) offers a connection to the Upper McDonald Creek Trail. This level wooded trail runs along the west side of Upper McDonald Creek and can be done as an out and back or linked to Johns Lake Loop making a nice loop hike. Upper McDonald Creek Trail runs above Upper McDonald Creek with opportunities to look out over several impressive falls.
