The Hungry Horse Ranger District is bordered on the east by the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and Glacier National Park. Its southern border runs along the Spotted Bear Ranger District and on the west with the Swan Lake ranger District. The Hungry Horse Reservoir and the South Fork of the Flathead River runs north thru the middle of the district.
