Sweet Grass Creek Trail (119) travels from the junction of Big Timber Creek Trail 119 near Conical Peak to Sweet Grass Trailhead, providing access to Middle Fork Sweet Grass Creek Trail 123 and Sunlight Lake Trail 273. The headwaters of Sweet Grass Creek are particularly scenic. Visitors may encounter cattle in the Sweet Grass Creek drainage during the grazing season, which runs from June to September. The trail is rocky and wet in some sections. Length: 13.0 miles. Good condition, moderate difficulty, medium use.   • Travel 19 miles north of Big Timber on Highway 191, then west on Big Timber Canyon Road about 12 miles to the Halfmoon Campground. Watch for sign about 2 miles into Big Timber Canyon Road for another turnoff to the canyon.1
