Parker Ridge Trail (309) is one of the few access routes to the Smith River from the National Forest. Last mile of the trail is very steep and rough. Most of the trail is in open country and provides a good view of the surrounding area. Non-motorized trail.

  • Travel 2.7 miles south of Logging Creek Campground on Forest Road 839 to Mill Creek and Trail 303. Next, go 6.2 miles west on Trail 303 to junction with Trail 316, then 0.4 mile south on Trail 316 to junction with 317. Finally, travel 1.8 miles west on 317 to junction with Trail 309. The trailhead is ROG Route Location 54.Travel 2.7 miles south of Logging Creek Campground on Forest Road 839 to Mill Creek and Trail 303. Next, go 6.2 miles west on Trail 303 to junction with Trail 316, then 0.4 mile south on Trail 316 to junction with 317. Finally, travel 1.8 miles west on 317 to junction with Trail 309. The trailhead is ROG Route Location 54.
