The Mount Frazier-Chicken Coulee Trail (153) is a long trail traversing the front range of the Rocky Mountains where the mountains meet the plains. The trail always offers good views to the west, to the plains, and along the high walls and peak of the Front. Obtain a Forest Visitor's map to determine any travel restrictions.

  • Take Highway 89 north from Choteau 5 miles turning west on the Teton River Road 144. Follow the Teton River Road 25 miles to the Mount Frazier-Chicken Coulee Trail sign heading up Pamburn Creek.
