After crossing the Swinging Bridge, Kootenai Creek Trail (218) follows Kootenai Creek up and around the open faces above Kootenai Falls before tieing into Kootenai Mountain road. A rather steep trail, it offers excellent views of the river and falls. Opportunities for viewing bighorn sheep and wildlife are plentiful.
