The Home Gulch - Lime Trail (267) is of gentle to moderate grades. The trail offers a fine view of Sawtooth Ridge, the sheer rock walls on the west side of Home and Lime Gulch and excellent vistas from the passes. Area wildlife include mule deer, big horn sheep, elk and bear. Aspen, mountain maple and other shrubs provide spectacular fall foliage. Motorcycles are allowed. Obtain a Forest Visitor's map to determine any travel restrictions.

  • Take the Sun River Canyon Road 208 for 22 miles northwest of Augusta to Home Gulch. Turn south at Home Gulch sign and proceed 0.5 mile to Sun Canyon Lodge.
