Bozeman Creek Trail (Sourdough Canyon to Mystic Lake)

CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAIL, NATIONAL FOREST TRAIL | Bozeman

The trail offers hiking and mountain biking opportunities in summer months and cross-country skiing in the winter. In the winter the the Bozeman Creek trail section is groomed regularly by the Bridger Ski Foundation Nordic. The Bozeman Creek to Moser Creek is groomed as conditions allow and the Mystic Lake portion is skier groomed. Snowmobiles prohibited on the Bozeman Creek Trail. Bozeman Creek is part of the winter community trails system and purchase of a trail pass or daily fee is requested.

Length: 8km of moderate uphill to cutoff; 9 km of more difficult trail to Mystic Lake Trail

Trail Begins: 5 miles South Bozeman in Sourdough Canyon

Trail Ends: Mystic Lake

  • Located 5 miles south of Bozeman. From Bozeman, follow S Third for 4 miles to Nash Road. Go east on Nash for 1 mile to Sourdough Canyon Road #979. The parking area is 1 mile south on Sourdough Canyon Road.
