Sperry Chalet trail can be accessed from the trail leaving from the horse concession area at Lake McDonald Lodge and takes you 4.4 miles to Snyder Lake trail on a steady rise. Another branch leaves the main trail to climb steeply 5.4 miles to Mount Brown Lookout, 2147 feet above Lake McDonald. At the junction continue on the same trail for another 6.4 miles to Sperry Chalet, a full day trip with 3,432 feet elevation gain.
