Pete Creek Campground

NATIONAL FOREST CAMPGROUND | Troy

Pete Creek Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 2,966 feet. There are 13 campsites, including one host site at Pete Creek Campground. Potable water and vault toilet are provided. Located in the uppermost northwest portion of the state, this site can be found approximately 3 miles southeast of the small town of Yaak. It is adjacent to State Highway 508 and a portion of the Yaak River flows next to the campground.

Enjoy getting away from it all. View area waterfalls and numerous wildlife species in this remote setting. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 24 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. There is a small fee for the use of this campground.

  • From Troy, take US Highway 2 west for 10 miles to the junction with State Highway 508, approximately 4 miles from the Montana/Idaho border. Turn here and follow for 36 miles to the campground.
