North Fork Granite Trail (5) is north of the Pilots Knob trail. It follows the Bitterroot Divide to Granite Peak. This is high dry country with Ponderosa Pine forest. There is no drinking water available along the trail, so please remember to bring you own water. You can see all over western Montana from there so you'll want a map.
