Miracle of America Museum, Inc.

ART MUSEUM, CULTURAL CENTER, GIFT SHOP, MUSEUM | Polson

The largest collection of antique artefact's in Montana is at the MIRACLE OF AMERICA MUSEUM. This museum is called The Smithsonian of the West by many visitors. Displays include everything from a tiny bird-point arrowhead to the 65 foot Paul Bunyan, a logging towboat listed in the National Register. Displays of Indian items, cars, cycles, toys, dolls, guns, homesteaders, clothing, wagons, buggies, sleighs, snowmobiles, military, tools, and tractors spill out of the main building into the courtyard. There you'll find a pioneer village, which includes an original sod roofed log cabin, general store, school, firehouse, and shops for a blacksmith, barber, tailor, carpenter and saddle maker. Other buildings house the Montana State Fiddlers Hall of Fame, logging memorabilia, and wooden boats.

There are kid friendly displays and photo opportunities. Children can get in a real Huey helicopter, play on an army jeep, pretend to be incarcerated in the village jail, hug an alien or get in a UFO in Area 51.

This is a year-round museum with a tremendous collection of winter tools, toys and collectibles!

Also host to Montana's Outdoor Art Gallery, including over 50 mostly-metal sculptures.

Allow yourself plenty of time to see it all. Nominal admission is charged. 883-6804.
