Howitzer Capture Site Trail

NATIONAL PARK TRAIL | Wisdom

Length: .8 miles. Howitzer Capture Site is a steep walk up to the site where Nez Perce warriors captured Gibbon's mountain howitzer (military cannon). Allow 40 minutes to walk to the howitzer site and back. The site provides a spectacular view of the Big Hole Battlefield and the Big Hole Valley.
