Flattop Mountain Trail

NATIONAL PARK TRAIL |

Flattop Mountain Trail begins at Packer's Roost, (a trailhead and old cabin, on a short spur road, off the Going-to-the-Sun Highway). It is located 23 miles east of West Glacier. The trail follows the McDonald Creek valley to a crossing of Mineral Creek, where the trail turns north to Flattop Creek. It is a 5.7 mile hike to the Flattop Mountain Campground and 6.3 miles further from this campground to Fifty Mountain Campground.
