No trip to Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is complete without a visit to the Devil Canyon Overlook just north of the Horseshoe Bend turnoff. Devil Canyon Overlook is easily accessed by a well-marked, paved side road several miles from the south entrance. The overlook provides breathtaking views of the confluence of the Bighorn and Devil Canyons narrow, winding, colorful canyon cliffs that tower 1,000 feet above the lake level. Keep your eye out for bighorn sheep and mountain goats that wander on the canyon walls.
