The first 3 miles of the stream is on private land where permission from the landowners should be obtained prior to fishing. On National Forest land fishing is fair for cutthroat and eastern brook trout. There are no dispersed camping areas until you reach the upper end of the fishable area where a bridge crosses Deep Creek.
