The Gallery is operated by Dawson County Arts Unlimited, Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting art in all their various forms. As DCAU's business outlet, The Gallery provides an opportunity for artists to display and sell their work. Displaying artists include local, state-wide and from surrounding states. A different artist or work is featured in monthly exhibits. There is no admission charge and gift certificates are available.

Media formats include acrylic, charcoal, pastel, pencil, pen and ink, oil, watercolor, scratchboard and mixed media. Available in original artwork are jewelry, leather, wood and quilted items, canvas paintings, prints, photography, pottery, greeting cards, and books.
