Located in the Gravelly range, the cabin is used primarily for hunting and snowmobile opportunities. Located in a meadow, the Black Butte is an old volcano cone that overlooks the cabin. Hikers can hike to the Black Butte along the ridge. This is a one room cabin with two bunkbeds. It has a small propane canister cookstove. Firewood, table, and chairs are provided. There is no potable water. An outhouse is adjacent to the cabin. Available July 2 through March 31. Capacity is four people. Fee is $25.00 per night. Cabin fee is non-refundable. Any changes to scheduled dates may be assessed an additional fee by NRRS. For more information about this cabin, call the Madison Ranger District.
