Bear Creek Pass Trailhead is located in Bitterroot National Forest at an elevation of 6500 feet. There are numerous trails to access the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. The most heavily used is the #613 trail which leads to the Bear Lakes and accesses trail #128 to Fish Lake. Facilities include a vault toilet, hitching rails, and dispersed camping. Right along the Montana-Idaho border, this is a primitive camping area used primarily by horseback riders and packers. Please limit your stay to 14 days.
