The town of Hamilton is the central trade area for hundreds of small farms, ranches and orchards that fill the valley. Hamilton is home to the Daly Mansion built in the late 1800s for Marcus Daly, one of Montana's colorful "Copper Kings." Ravalli County Museum is located in the original Ravalli County Courthouse built in 1900. Saved from the wrecker's ball in 1979, it is now listed in the National Register of Historic Buildings and considered one of the finest museums for a town of this size.

This family-friendly festival features 13 bands, nonstop jam sessions, a Throw Together Band Contest, Bluegrass Gospel on Sunday morning, and a welcoming atmosphere for musicians and music lovers alike. Set in a beautiful mountain setting, attendees can enjoy dry camping, food vendors, and an old-fashioned festival experience where live music and community take center stage. Tickets are available only at the gate, with affordable admission for adults and children, making it an accessible weekend for the whole family. In honor of our veterans, the Ravalli County Museum hosts an annual Veteran’s Day Observance Ceremony & Program by the American Legion. All are welcome to attend! A flag ceremony and laying of wreaths (anyone can contribute a wreath) at the Doughboy monument on Museum grounds are followed by a gun salute and a program on the second floor of the Museum.
