Campers will learn about the fundamentals of art, drawing techniques, color mixing, paint handling, and more. A range of media, art forms, and inspirations will be explored through journaling, drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture! Engaging projects are organized so that campers work a similar theme, but have the freedom to be creative and add their own ideas.

A throwback to how running used to be and we don’t mean uphill both ways (although the course might feel like that!). This casual race goes back to the roots of trail running: good company, good terrain, and good beer. Make yourself at home at the start/finish basecamp and get ready for the race of your life. Grab your friends and take on the 6-lap marathon course or go solo for 26.2, 13.1 or a 4.31 mile Hot Lap! The course features access road, singletrack trails, and a health dose of bushwhacking around Red Lodge Mountain. Sure to be your dog’s favorite race of the year!

August 16th- 7PM August 17th- 5PM We are the Windy City Outlaws, doing rodeo in Livingston a different way – merging western tradition with 21st Century technology to ensure the locals can get seats to a rodeo in their own town, and supporting the next generation of ranchers and farmers through scholarships. We’ve combined decades of rodeo and business experience to produce a top-notch event. With the help of our Montana stock contractor, Montana rodeo announcer, and support team, we hope to make a significant contribution to the list of summer events in the Livingston community. Montana rodeo for Montanans. Our initial concept was rough stock (bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding) only. We set everything in motion based on that plan. However, fate took over. Long story short, we joined the Northern Rodeo Association, changed performance dates, and expanded our format to ALL events – rough stock plus barrel racing, team roping, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, ladies break-away, and two junior events: barrels & break-away. When the dust settled, we realized this made us a better rodeo than our original concept – more options for contestants and more FUN for rodeo fans, PLUS a hometown feel. No glitz and glamour. Instead, a rodeo for the locals.

Thirty-eight miles along spectacular scenery, through the Big Belt Mountains. You'll enjoy breathtaking canyons and three creeks! Be prepared for various surfaces of gravel, asphalt road, and single track. Take your time and enjoy the scenery or push yourself! Bear Trap and Trout Creek routes - A challenging and exhilarating mountain bike ride covering 38 or 76 miles of magnificent scenery. On the York 38 Special or the Spirit of 76, you will gain 3,000 vertical feet from lowest point of the ride (Nelson), mostly on dirt roads and single track. Six Aid stations with our famous homemade goodies & porta potties are spread throughout the course. Lucky 13 Family Ride - The Lucky 13 route is 13 miles, approximately 6.5 miles along York Road, from York to Vigilante Campground, around the campground loop, and back to York. About half of the route is paved. An Aid station & porta potty available on this route also! VIRTUAL RIDE! Can't make race day but still want to participate? Ride (or run or walk!) the York 38 route, Lucky 13 route or any 38/13 mile route between June 15th and August 11th and submit your time for special prize categories! All activities must be recorded and verified using your choice of GPS tracking app or software (Strava, Garmin Connect, Suunto, etc). Back by popular demand! Last year’s Blooms & Brushes; Art in the Gardens Tour in Ennis MT was a huge success. Brought to you by the Ennis Arts Association, this year’s tour will take place on Saturday, August 16 from 10am-3pm. The tour includes 5 gardens, with an artist working on their craft and a PieceMakers of the Madison quilt at each garden. Gardens will be staffed with garden experts for garden related questions as well! Also on the tour this year is the Historic Trinity Episcopal Church in Jeffers with its 100+ year-old stained-glass windows, where docents will explain the windows (a handout description will be available) and the pews will have 14 antique quilts displayed. Proceeds from this Ennis Arts Association event will benefit the community in many ways; 3 annual college scholarships, events at The Manor nursing home, Shakespeare in the Schools performances, Madison Valley Public Library, Ennis School Science Fair Awards, and Madison Farm to Fork: Good Thyme Summer Camp.
