Bridger is the gateway to the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. Devil's Canyon Overlook provides a scenic view of Bighorn Canyon is where the canyon crosscuts a 1,000-foot-high segment of the fault that makes up the Pryor Mountains. The Pryor Mountains are home to about 130 wild mustangs. Visitors may catch a glimpse of them at the Pryor Mountains Wild Horse Range, just north of the overlook.

The Bridger Raptor Festival is an annual event held in early October in and around Bozeman, Montana. The festival, which is free to the public, centers around the largest known Golden Eagle migration in the United States. Since 1991 a raptor migration count has taken place every fall at the Bridger Bowl ski area in the Gallatin National Forest just north of Bozeman. Festival activities center around raptor viewing and include nature walks and talks, educational and entertaining programs and activities for people of all ages.
If you have never been here for The Red Lodge Annual Christmas Stroll, your holiday season is missing some of its magic. For two evenings, our downtown shops open their doors late and the entire town turns out for the kind of holiday cheer and goodwill that keeps the hearth fires burning til spring. Five residents in the Red Lodge area will open up their homes during the weekend of Christmas Stroll. An artist will be at each home to welcome visitors.
This is an opportunity to see private art collections and festive holiday decor in the afternoon, then stroll downtown Red Lodge in the evening.
