Bearcreek, located 7 miles east of Red Lodge was founded between 1905 and 1906 on the wealth of vast coal deposits beneath it. Now home to the famous Bear Creek Saloon & Steakhouse where the infamous Bear Creek Downs Pig Races are held during the summer months Thursday through Sunday.
