Upper Whitefish Lake Campground

LAKE, RECREATION AREA CAMPGROUND, STATE FOREST |

Upper Whitefish Lake Campground is located in the Stillwater State Forest in northwestern Montana. The campground encompasses approximately 6 acres. There are 15 tent and trailer sites with fire rings and picnic tables. There is a bear-proof food storage container on site as well as 2 vault toilets. Pets are allowed but must be on lease or under voice control. 14 day stay limit.

A Montana Conservation License ($10) is required for any recreational activities on this land. Licenses may be purchased at FWP licensing locations, or at:

This is a pack-it-in/pack-it-out campground. Campfires in designated fire rings only. Keep an eye out for local fire restrictions. Make sure your fire is 'dead out' before leaving the site.
