Slate Creek Campground

Slate Creek Campground is located along the east side of Painted Rocks Reservoir in the Bitterroot National Forest near Darby, Montana. At an elevation of 4,500 feet, this campground encompasses 6 acres. This is a pack it in, pack it out campsite. 13 campsites are located in a wooded creek bottom. No drinking water. Restroom facilities are partially accessible. Swimming and boating are among the activites to be enjoyed at Slate Creek Campground. There is a boat launch accessible on the reservoir nearby. Please limit your stay to 14 days. No fee at this site. Season of operation depends upon weather conditions and accessibility.
