North Fork Deep Creek Trail (72) climbs gradually up the steep North Fork Deep Creek valley and, after passing through the wide divide between Mt. Petery and the mountains to the north, emerges on a ridge overlooking the valley of Williams Creek drainage and the mountains beyond. It is a gentle trail that can be easily climbed in a few hours. It offers access to Trail 96 and connecting trails.   • From Fortine, travel east 0.5 mile on US Highway 93. Turn onto Deep Creek Road 368 and follow 6 miles to the gate. Turn left at the trailhead sign just before the Deep Creek bridge.1
