Lost Girl/St. Paul Peak Ski Course

NATIONAL FOREST TRAIL | Trout Creek

Lost Girl/St. Paul Peak Ski Course offers an excellent view of the Cabinet and Bitterroot Mountains, but it would take an avid skier to complete the full 14 miles. The first 7 miles to the bottom of the Lost Girl clearcut offers beginner skiing, with intermediate to advanced skiing through the clearcut. From the top of the clearcut there is excellent skiing for 4 miles along the ridge to the Wilderness boundary and beyond to the small saddle approximately 0.25 mile from the summit of St. Paul Peak. The best snow conditions are above 5,000 feet mid-January through April. Length: 14 miles Trail Begins: East Fork Bull River Road 407 Trail Ends: St. Paul Peak Area Map: Kootenai National Forest Visitors Map USGS Map1: Elephant Peak Township 27N; Range 33W; Section 12
