Grand Menard, about 1 mile north on the Ninemile ranger station, is a good place to picnic, play, and enjoy a trail through the woods. You'll find picnic sites for both small and large groups, horseshoe pits, and a playing field. Drinking water is available in the summer. The interpretive Discovery Trail has two loops, each less than a mile long. One loop is wheelchair accessible. Interpretive brochures are available at the trail head or the ranger station.
