A visit to Forsythe Farms is a low-key, authentic agritourism experience rooted in simplicity, learning, and Montana hospitality. Wander the rows, harvest your own lavender, and enjoy a peaceful moment in the field. We’ll share a few interesting tidbits along the way, offer direct-from-the-farm products, and give you a glimpse into small-scale, local farming.
Sitting among the lavender is part of the experience—our smooth ground cover makes it easy to relax, unwind, and take it all in. It’s a different kind of outdoor recreation and a perfect complement to your rafting or fishing adventures with Adventure Missoula. Harvesting lavender is both euphoric and enriching. During your visit, you may meet the farm owners or local hands, spend time in the scenic Frenchtown Valley, and enjoy the quiet charm of a rural ranchland setting. This behind-the-scenes experience is intentionally simple, peaceful, and interactive—an opportunity to slow down and connect with nature for an hour or two.
Our small farm, with around 200 lavender plants, is easy to find and located just 15 minutes from our raft and fishing shop. Bring a friend, your family, or the kids—we’ll show you how to harvest and bundle your own bouquets to take home.
Forsythe Farms isn’t a large-scale, commercial lavender operation. It’s a sweet, small, experimental farm—primarily English lavender—run by a local family who invites you to be part of the harvest. Set against a backdrop of beautiful mountain views, you might spot hawks, eagles, Canada geese, sandhill cranes, deer, bees, and other wildlife during your visit.

• Your first 2” bouquet is included
• Additional bouquets: $15 each (discounted from $20 retail)
Bouquets will be charged to the card used for registration at checkout.

• Bucket, jar, or container for your lavender

Farm Etiquette
Please respect that this is both our home and a working farm:
• Drive slowly and watch for neighbors, animals, and children
• Stay within designated areas of the lavender field
• No pets, smoking, alcohol, or marijuana
• Be mindful of bees and pollinators—we’ll guide you
• Watch your footing—uneven ground in areas
• Supervise children closely
• No public restroom available—please plan ahead
