DAR Historic Marker

MONUMENT, STATE HISTORIC SITE | Bozeman

A historic DAR marker honoring soldiers and a nurse who lost their lives in World War I. This marker was originally installed May 19, 1927 and rededicated May 1986.

The marker reads, "Memorial Trees. Dedicated with grateful reverence to the heroes from Yellowstone County who gave their lives in the World War. Erected under the auspices of Shining Mountain Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution May 19, 1927” (The trees have since died.)

Rededicated: “Shining Mountain Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution 1927 – Rededicated – 1986”
