Clary Coulee Trail (177) is a nice day hike. The main attraction of Clary Coulee Trail is the uniqueness of climbing a line between two contrasting geographical features - to the east the hiker can look upon the broad expanse of the plains while to the west rises the high rocky walls and peaks of the Front. Obtain a Forest Visitor's map to determine any travel restrictions.

  • Take Highway 89 from Choteau 5 miles, turning west on Teton River Road 144. Follow the road 22 miles to Clary Coulee Trail, 1 mile past the Cow Track Ranch. Park well off the road.
