The Black Cat Bake Shop opened in 1997 and became a Missoula Farmer's Market tradition. In June 2010, Jack and Christy Wich opened a premier pastry shop and the Black Cat tradition has continued.
We offer a wide variety of breakfast and dessert pastry, including handmade brioche cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, flaky almond and cinnamon croissants, and melt-in-your-mouth huckleberry scones. Our display of sweet and savory croissants, Danish, muffins, cookies, signature cakes, tarts, and other dessert pastry is a feast for the eyes! We also have a breakfast and lunch quiche special that includes a piece of either the spinach and mushroom or sausage and roasted red pepper quiche accompanied with a slice of bread of the day!
Enjoy our rotating variety of freshly baked hearth bread, including our Pain de Champagne and Nine-Grain (made with all organic flour), Vermont Maple Oat, Cranberry Almond, Buttermilk Currant, Cheddar Chipotle, and Three-Olive Roasted Red Pepper, Friday and Saturday we also have our focaccia in a variety of flavorful taste combinations.
Wireless Internet is available along with plenty of seating inside and out.
