Alpacas of Montana
Experience a working Montana alpaca farm just minutes from downtown Bozeman! Alpacas of Montana is a family-owned farm, outdoor apparel company and one-of-a-kind destination where visitors can get up close with alpacas and llamas while learning about the animals, the fiber they produce and life on a working farm.
Our guided Alpaca & Llama Farm Tours are a fun, hands-on experience for adults and children alike. Meet members of our herd of more than 80 alpacas and 10 llamas, feed alpacas their favorite treats, interact with the animals and learn about their personalities, care, fiber and the process of raising alpacas in Montana. Depending on the season, you may even meet our newest baby alpacas, known as crias.
After your tour, stop by our on-farm retail store and shop Alpacas of Montana's collection of alpaca socks, outdoor apparel, hats, gloves, blankets, gifts and locally handmade products.
For more than 20 years, owners James and Sarah Budd have raised alpacas in Bozeman while developing innovative ways to turn alpaca fiber into high-performance clothing and outdoor gear. Our approach combines responsible animal care, sustainable farming practices and a passion for creating products designed for Montana's outdoors.
Farm tours are offered seasonally with multiple tour times throughout the day. Our retail store is open seven days a week from 10 AM–4 PM, except holidays. Advance tour reservations are recommended, and walk-ins are welcome before available tours.
Come meet the herd, experience a little piece of Montana farm life and discover why alpacas are such remarkable animals.
