Celebrating its 40th year in 2026, Out to Lunch is Downtown Missoula’s signature summer lunchtime concert series, held weekly in the Heart of Downtown at Caras Park along the Clark Fork River. Running for 13 weeks from June through August 2026, the event brings together live local and regional music, a rotating lineup of food trucks, and a vibrant community atmosphere that celebrates the best of Missoula’s creative and culinary culture.
Each Wednesday from 11am to 2pm, residents and visitors gather to enjoy free outdoor concerts in a scenic riverfront setting, creating a lively midweek tradition that draws thousands of attendees throughout the season. Guests can enjoy lunch from a diverse selection of local food vendors, explore nearby downtown shops and restaurants, and experience Missoula’s unique blend of outdoor recreation and urban energy. In addition, families can take advantage of free kid’s activities offered each week at the Beartracks Underbridge Playspace, providing an engaging, family-friendly component that encourages longer stays and multigenerational participation.
Out to Lunch serves as both a community gathering and an economic driver for Downtown Missoula, supporting local food vendors, musicians, and small businesses while attracting visitors from across the region. The event helps position Missoula as a must-visit summer destination, encouraging extended stays and increased visitor spending throughout downtown.
Rooted in accessibility, creativity, and community connection, Out to Lunch continues to be one of Missoula’s most beloved seasonal traditions, bringing people together to celebrate summer in the Heart of the Missoula.
