Nostalgic Skiing at “The Last Best Ski Hill”

Managed and operated by an all-volunteer group of local skiers, the Bear Paw Ski Bowl is small-town skiing in its finest form, and one of the only ski areas in the country located on tribal land. Picture no lift lines, deep powder and a ski experience without the big price tag or hassle of a fancy resort. Bear Paw Ski Bowl is located just south of Havre, Montana, in the Bears Paw Mountain range on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation, and features 24 trails made with love.

The hill is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. after the start of the new year. What can you expect when visiting the hill? Locals say, “Riders at Bear Paw will find a nostalgic and rustic trip back to a time when skiing was the emphasis and accommodations were provided by good neighbors with a smile.”
