About Shakespeare had his 'play within a play' technique and we have our 'cabin within a cabin' architecture! Former owners built a house around and above an old hunting cabin affording us an intriguing and unique interior. The warmth of the log walls, the stone fireplaces, and inspired decor create a warm and welcome atmosphere that our guests have loved! Recycled wood has been used to trim doors and windows, be the planks for our floors and serve as our handmade custom doors. This attention to detail give Bowmore a style that will take your breath away. 'Wow!' 'This is amazing' are common phrases heard when guests enter our doors. During your stay, cook up a delicious meal in our fully stocked log kitchen while the wood stove crackles away in the open kitchen/ family room area.The custom built kitchen cabinets and tile floor will make you want to cook! (Or, bring your take out food and load up the extra frig located in the laundry room for your overflow items.) You may even feel inspired to grill on our deluxe propane bbq sitting just outside the back door on the spacious deck looking out to a forest of fir trees and pond. Enjoy your meal in the formal dining room with two sets of french doors and 3 beautiful windows looking out on Montana's heartland. The harvest style table with leaves can accommodate larger numbers. If the weather is right, take your meal on the back deck furniture under the cover of the retractable awning. Or, for a cozier meal, sit at the table in the breakfast room, looking to the forest and pond. With the flip of a switch a gas fireplace warms the comfortable living room. In the mood for a movie? Want to catch that special game? Enjoy our media room supplied with satellite TV reception and surround sound. Surround sound makes the experience realistic and vibrant. Feel free to borrow videos and DVDs from our media room library. The media room can also double as another bedroom for the couch converts to a queen size hide-a-bed. The double doors and heavy curtains and window shades provide more than adequate privacy. Before you depart from the media room, take a look in the antique amoire at all the games and puzzles placed for your enjoyment. A lovely bathroom with a shower graces the main floor. Head up the massive custom built staircase to 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. Before you do, don't miss the little apartment under the stairs made especially for the little people, complete with a cozy bed, table and lamp, a few toys and books! Upstairs there is one bedroom with a king bed, another with a queen, and the third bedroom housing a queen and a double bed. The decor and comfort of the premium bedding will delight you! Enjoy the large closets, dressers, alarm clocks, extra blankets and pillows, fans, luggage racks, and classy bed coverings. We get rave reviews about the comfort of our mattresses! Take a hot bath in the upstairs claw foot tub and soak in the amazing views of the Crazy Mountains through the picture window. All bedrooms and bathroom have double hung windows and wooden slat shades that darken rooms and give privacy. Bowmore cabin has three amazing porches. Each porch is fitted with outdoor furniture, be it rockers, tables and chairs, or recliners. Each porch affords a different view and mood. The front porch is covered, facing the Crazies, the back deck is considered the sun deck(with a great wind-sensor automatic awning that helps you dictate the amount of sun), and the side porch is especially good for either watching the glorious sunsets or tucking away from the occasional Montana wind that might blow through. We have a laundry room with washer, dryer and complimentary soap and fabric softener. Some guests prefer to use the breakfast room as an office, taking advantage of our wireless internet and the views of the pond and forest all at the same time. 'Comfortable' is an understatement when describing the Bowmore experience. We welcome you to your home away from home!
