In the morning, take U.S. 212 down to I-90 at Laurel and then east (right) to Billings to enjoy the Billings Brewery District, four breweries (Angry Hank's Brewery, Carter's Brewing, Montana Brewing, and Yellowstone Valley Brewing) within a short walk of each other. You might have time for a hike up in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, which is in Red Lodge's backyard, before heading down to Billings. You could also leave early and stop at Zoo Montana, Montana's only zoo, on the west edge of Billings before heading downtown to get a room and see the breweries. After checking into a downtown hotel, you'll might still have time before your pub crawl to visit the Western Heritage Center or Yellowstone Art Museum, both only a block or two off the brewery route.
