Day 8: Big Sky - Lone Peak Brewery
In the morning, check out the Museum of the Rockies before heading west out of Bozeman on U.S. 191 and then south, still on U.S. 191, through the gorgeous Gallatin Canyon to Big Sky for a brew at the Lone Peak Brewery--and lunch since Lone Peak is one of the few Montana breweries to also serve food.Unless you want to spend some extra time enjoying the Big Sky area and Yellowstone National Park (not a bad idea, obviously), get back on U.S 191 and head south to West Yellowstone. You can either stay there or in the Park at Old Faithful. For park accommodations, plan ahead because if you don't there might not be room in the inn. (For park reservations, go to www.yellowstonenationalparklodges.com.)
Your safety is important to us. Please drink responsibly. If you are drinking alcholol, please be certain to include a designated sober driver; do not drink and drive. It is against the law to drive or be in actual physical control of a motor vehicle when blood alcohol content level is at .08% or more.
