Spotted Bear Campground


Spotted Bear Campground is about as far as you can drive off the beaten track and still find a maintained campground. Spotted Bear Campground, located in Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana, is in a remote area on the South Fork of the Flathead River. It is several miles above the end of Hungry Horse Reservoir on the edge of the beautiful Bob Marshall Wilderness. There is access to a trail which leads to the Great Bear Wilderness.

At an elevation of 3,500 feet, Spotted Bear Campground encompasses 5 acres with 13 designated campsites. Water and restrooms are provided. Hiking and fishing may be enjoyed at the campground. The maximum recommended trailer length is 32 feet. The fee for the use of this campground is $10 a day. Please limit your stay to 14 days.
