Wild West Winterfest
|
Grab your galoshes...and head to the Wild West WinterFest. This annual event will offer a break from the winter time blues. WinterFest kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday. Some of the activities include horse drawn wagon rides, kid's special Roundup Rodeo, McLien's FFA Farm Barn full of farm animals for the kids and we even have a hockey tournament. There's a Working Horse & Driver Contest and Horse Sale. Dog Events will include Agility, Terrier Races, Conformation, Pet Tricks and a Dog Keg-pulling Contest. Also a Packer's Scramble, Elk Bugling Contest and a Chili Cook-off. Grab a partner to dance at the Bootlegger's Ball. There will be plenty of other music for entertainment throughout the weekend. A children's art show, a quilt show, and even an open photography show can be seen in the exhibit buildings. At WinterFest Market, the vendors will be exhibiting their arts and crafts. Our newest event is the Dog Keg Pull where dogs of many breeds and sizes pull a full keg of beer on a sled. So, grab your galoshes, caps, mittens and coveralls and join in some Wintertime family fun.
